Now known as

FurstPerson is a SaaS (Software as a service) talent assessment program. I worked remotely as an Interaction Designer.

During my time at FurstPerson, I worked closely with their IO psychologists, leadership, Q&A, marketing, support, product manager, CTO, and developers using SCRUM and Agile working methods.

FurstPerson was in a transition of going from an older legacy platform to a new one when I came onboard. I helped in that effort by gathering the data that they had from the old platform and comparing it to the upcoming new platform. I organised and compared data by creating information architecture maps, a glossary of terminology (so that the terms would be consistent), and compared user journeys -that way we could communicate any changes clearly when transitioning clients to the new platform.

I created a Design System Manager within Confluence that included a Style Guide and Pattern Library with details of the design patterns and clear instructions on when and how exactly to implicate them. I worked closely with a front-end developer to ensure the designs were created accurately in Storybook. Storybook is an open-source tool for developing UI components in isolation for React, Vue, and Angular. In this particular situation, we used it for React.

I created a development process for our product and development team and organised it within Jira and Confluence. This development process was a flow that ensured we were all on the same page and provided clarity and clear direction whilst working together as a team.

I have worked on a variety of projects that range from problem-solving, user research, redesigning assessments, application creation, candidate experience, and more. I’m happy to present them upon request.

“Ashley has been an incredible addition to the FurstPerson team. I have enjoyed collaborating with her so much, and her design and interaction skills have elevated the FurstPerson products. Ashley is an incredibly smart, thoughtful designer who takes ownership and keeps projects on track. She is incredibly organized and helps her colleagues become more organized as well. Most importantly, she is a champion for the end user’s needs and makes sure the most elegant and friendly interactionsare created.”
